SPEAKER_02My name's Juniper. My name's Harper. My name's Emila.
SPEAKER_03Well, how are you, girls, today?
unknownGood.
SPEAKER_03So we're doing a little intro pod. So we're doing an introduction. What does an introduction mean?
SPEAKER_02No idea.
SPEAKER_03You don't know what an introduction is? Nope. Juniper, you know what an introduction is.
SPEAKER_02Like something that tells people what like like something that begins something.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, we're kind of getting everyone started. Okay. So we'll start with Miss Well we'll start with we'll go this way. So just say one thing that's going good in second grade worlds. We'll start with Juniper and then we'll go this way. Alright, go ahead, Juniper.
SPEAKER_02Reading.
SPEAKER_03What are you reading?
SPEAKER_02I'm reading uh Taylor Swift Eros Tour Encyclopedia.
SPEAKER_03What? That's an actual book?
SPEAKER_02Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_03No way.
SPEAKER_02I'm really liking it.
SPEAKER_03You're liking it a lot. That's good. Alright.
SPEAKER_02Um. Um mine is having a bunch of parties. I'm excited for this one that's coming up because um we are going to um have a doctor's party. You can dress up as a doctor or a nurse, and then uh we can play like some games, and then some people have to bring them in. It's gonna be a really fun time.
SPEAKER_03I like it. Go ahead. Talk towards the mic too, just to help us out. Nothing.
SPEAKER_02No. What what about even the party? I have another thing I'm excited about.
SPEAKER_03What are you excited about, Jennifer?
SPEAKER_02Next month is my birthday, and I'm gonna get my ears pierced.
SPEAKER_03Ooh, should I get mine?
SPEAKER_02What? Ears pierced?
SPEAKER_03Do you have your ear you have your ears pierced?
SPEAKER_02I'm a ears pierced. Wait, no, I'm I don't have to go.
SPEAKER_03Should I get mine?
SPEAKER_02Mine! No!
SPEAKER_03Oh, okay. Okay. I should get my ears pierced.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
unknownYes, yes.
SPEAKER_03Why?
SPEAKER_02Because.
SPEAKER_03That didn't answer my question.
SPEAKER_02I also have another excitement.
SPEAKER_03Alright, go ahead.
SPEAKER_02Um, about maybe a week ago, I went to a nail salon called Dip into when I got my toenails pinning.
SPEAKER_03Oh, very good.
SPEAKER_02My nails that have flowers.
SPEAKER_03Alright, so I want you well, go ahead.
SPEAKER_02I'm excited to go home.
SPEAKER_03Wow.
SPEAKER_02Well, you've been excited to go home.
SPEAKER_03You should be excited to be on the quality podcast.
SPEAKER_02That's what I'm excited about. Me too.
SPEAKER_03Alright. So on this show, the fifth graders are going to do some segments. Do you know what a segment is?
SPEAKER_02No, no. A part of something?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's kind of like a part something. So each fifth grader got to write their own segment. Do you think they're gonna be good or bad?
SPEAKER_02Maybe. You don't know? I don't know. Maybe. I don't know.
SPEAKER_03Kind of good?
SPEAKER_02I have no idea.
SPEAKER_03You think kind maybe kind of good.
SPEAKER_02Kind of good. Maybe I don't know. I don't know.
SPEAKER_03Alright. I want you to tell the listeners, point to the camera and say, stay quality.
SPEAKER_02Stay quality. Welcome back everyone. It's Sam, Bennett, and Luca, and today we're here to make some complaints. Complaints. So my complaint is homework. Why? Well here Well, I don't get homework, so yeah. Well like just homework in general. Like No, I just want to have fun after school. I've saw I I just saw this uh in like a book. It literally said that some students at Stanford University lit literally made or not made, but like they've figured out that homework is actually kind it's not like it's bad, but like it's not really good for you. Um it keeps you cooped up and not to be able to get fresh air. And we literally read an article about that in school, Bennett. I didn't read that. And it's just like I feel like school is for work and the time after school is for our free time. Yeah. So why do we have to spend that doing more work? Yeah. Okay. So my complaint is getting in trouble because other people are getting in trouble. So I'm saying it's like there's sometimes there's like people that like always do bad stuff, and then the whole the teacher, not the point out, punishes all of us, and I just get really, really mad. Because it's not my fault. Or I feel like feel you, bro. I feel like I don't like it when like I get in trouble for someone else's talking. Like Yes, when someone else is doing is getting it is like doing the bad stuff, and yeah, I'm just like sitting here. My complaint is that um literally everybody that I've met, they say that they don't put ketchup on their chicken strips. It's like, would you put ketchup on your chicken strips?
SPEAKER_03So except because normal humans don't do that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Sorry. I put ketchup on my bunch of strips. I don't. There we go. Only when I can. I only I only put honey mustard on it. And who actually I don't put ketchup on? I put the chicken on it. Honey mustard is good. And and also, who puts I see people putting ranch ranch on their chicken nuggets.
SPEAKER_03That's that's a normal human thing. That's a normal thing. Ritchinup is a normal human thing.
SPEAKER_02I don't like ranch on pizza. Yeah, who puts ranch on pizza?
SPEAKER_03Again, normal human.
SPEAKER_02No, it's not! And Chick-fil-A sauce er no and and cane sauce is awful.
SPEAKER_03Okay, that is just okay, we're done. We're we're done.
SPEAKER_02It's one of those things there. No. Comment down below. It's been Mr. Martin. Then the sauce. No, it's the bread, then the fries, then the sauce, then the chicken. Okay. Time to wrap it up. Stay cold. Stay cold. Welcome to fifth grade complaints. It's Andrew, Caden, and Chris. My biggest can complaint is the school lunch. Except for the potato chips. But uh yeah, like just I I don't like it. What's wrong with the school lunch? Like the sogginess or everything. Okay. My complaint is uh the French toast for lunch. Why can't we get it for breakfast? Makes a whole lot of sense. Why can't we just like have normal pickles by themselves though? Because why is the number one snack always pickles and ice cream? That's just so weird. And my second complaint is Wesley. He's just a person.
unknownYeah, exactly. I'm just a person.
SPEAKER_02Exactly.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02My second complaint is the lemon bar the school lemon bars, they taste the nasty. Okay, I can't agree with you on that that one. Well, it wasn't really good. Yeah, the lemon area. Um so don't you guys think this is random though? Who would eat dope pickle chips? That's nasty. Right? Or cooked spinach dip. Yeah. It's a little weird. Yeah. Okay, well, time to wrap this up. Stay quality. Stay Stay quality. Hello everybody. Uh welcome to um fifth grade complaints. It's me, Gunner, Silas, and Niall. Um, my complaint is like like why why does the soccer field have to be so chaotic? Like, every day it's so chaotic.
SPEAKER_03Silas, pick up your mic, please.
SPEAKER_02Silas, what's your complaint? The school lunch. Like, you get the most absurd thing. Like the school chili looks absolutely disgusting. It's like, no, it it's so bad it sucks. What? Okay, now yeah, what's your complaint? Um, homework. Because if we get homework on a Friday and it's the weekend, we're trying to do stuff that we want to do, not no homework or papers. No, we've been at school for the whole day and we gotta go home and do more work. My my teacher's always getting me on homework on the weekends. It annoys me. Like I um I had homework uh last week and I totally forgot about it. I always don't do my homework. And my teacher gets mad at me if we forget it. Silas, do you have another comp wait, hold up? Um, my other complaint is um like what like I have to agree with like the school lunch is always so soggy. Like, I hate it, it's annoying. Do you have another complaint? Um no. Okay, that was the quality podcast. Bye! Welcome to the quality podcast. Um, today we're we be talking about complaints. My complaint is when we don't do our homework, our teacher thinks we use like we use excuses. Yeah. Like she thinks like we're just making up excuses, we don't have like to do it. Yeah. Uh my complaint is the school lunches. Um the least my least favorite day is when the ch school chili and the cheesy spinach, I don't really like it. It tastes soggy and disgusting. The cheese doesn't really taste that good at all. Yeah. My complaint was teachers doing too many dad jokes. Mr. Barcolo tells too many dad jokes. Too many dad jokes. Fanny, especially not funny. Especially the purple gorilla one. Yeah, that one sucks. The the teacher jokes are so trash, they don't make sense to me. Yeah, teacher jokes just don't really make me laugh at all. That much. I don't have another complaint at all. Mostly. It's mostly the school lunches that I complain about. Yeah. I gotta agree with the school lunches. Like, look. It's like soggy. But um, yeah. The cheese toasties, they're soggy. And stay quality. Stay quality. Welcome to Fifth Grade Complaints, and today we have Wesley, Chase, and Olivia. Okay. Chase, do you have anything to complain about?
SPEAKER_00Yes, teachers trying to sing. They cannot sing, they suck at it. Wow. Just stop. You're a teacher, not a singer. Stop it.
SPEAKER_02That's kind of harsh.
SPEAKER_00Well, if they can't sing, they need to stop.
SPEAKER_02Can you give an example of a song they've sung that you've hate?
SPEAKER_00Uh I kind of forgot all the songs that they sing, but still.
SPEAKER_03Can you sing? Yes.
SPEAKER_02Sing a song, sing a song.
SPEAKER_00What a song?
SPEAKER_02Twinkle, twinkle, little star.
SPEAKER_00That's for kids.
SPEAKER_02You're a kid.
SPEAKER_00No. I'm a pretty teen.
SPEAKER_02No, you're not.
SPEAKER_00Yes, I am.
SPEAKER_02Okay, fine. Okay. I think AI is dumb.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_02I like like Chat GPT and Gemini. They're good. They they help you. But then like Sora and all the filming AI is just bad, because like it's slop.
SPEAKER_00He uses it for his homework.
SPEAKER_02There's random stuff. Like dogs running and then falling and exploding. I've seen too many videos of that. Okay. So one of my complaints are um it's like when teachers get mad at the whole class for over one kid doing something, like they take all of our racists away over a kid one kid doing something that they shouldn't have done.
SPEAKER_01Exactly, I agree with that.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Who has okay, no. Okay. Yeah, that's like dumb.
SPEAKER_01Any more complaints?
SPEAKER_02Uh no.
SPEAKER_01Oh. And teachers trying to dance. Okay. Teachers try to dance.
SPEAKER_02Teachers trying to dance? Yes. Okay. Well, that is fifth grade complaints and stay quality.
SPEAKER_01Peace.
SPEAKER_02What's up everyone? It's Elliot here, and today in third it's third grade, and I'm gonna learn about journalism. And Mr. Martin is gonna give us three questions.
SPEAKER_03Well, we're not giving questions, we're giving first of all, introduce yourselves.
SPEAKER_02We've got Elliot, Eli, Diego.
SPEAKER_03We've got him on the mics here. These are first timers. We're in journalism class. We're learning about the journalism world, newspapers, radio. So part of journalism that they learned was journalists love to discuss things. So we're gonna talk about a couple takes here. You guys ready? Yeah. So I want to hear your thoughts. The first big topic the quality listeners want you to know about is artificial intelligence. Kind of hot in the streets right now. Let's start with you. Based on your research, Eli, what do you think about AI? And you guys can comment if you if he says something you're interested.
SPEAKER_02About AI?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, what do you think about AI?
SPEAKER_02I think it's getting too realistic.
SPEAKER_03Really? In what way?
SPEAKER_02I'd be seeing videos. They look they're AI, but they look too real.
SPEAKER_03What are your thoughts, Elliot?
SPEAKER_02Um I agree with AI.
SPEAKER_03Why?
SPEAKER_02Uh, cause this one video, this tree fell down and uh there was a dog and a woman that were separate, but there was a leash, and they made it so that you know it's AI because the dog just went through the tree.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Diego, do you think you can spot AI stuff online pretty easily right now?
SPEAKER_02No. It's gotten too realistic.
SPEAKER_03It's getting too realistic. Do you think that they're trying to target kids your age?
SPEAKER_02I don't know. Probably no.
SPEAKER_03How do you think this will become a problem? Let's ask you, Diego. How do you think AI is gonna become a problem for teachers in the future? What's gonna be an issue as we as you guys get up in school? What's how's AI gonna become a problem? It's something to think about, isn't it?
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_03What do you think?
SPEAKER_02Probably there might like someone might make a YouTube video that looks like super real and a teacher might believe it. Yeah. And then might like do something wrong.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I mean, kids have great eyes.
SPEAKER_03That's true. That's true. That's true. So we should just be aware of AI. That's your guys' take.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03All right, okay. All right, here we go. Next one. Next topic. We have three topics. This is our next one. The World Cup is coming to the United States of America for the first time in a while. How excited are you to see the countries of the world here to play soccer in the World Cup? We'll start with you, Diego. Do you think it's good for the United States, Mexico, and Canada that they're doing this together, or do you think it would be better if it was just in one country?
SPEAKER_02It's kind of good. What?
SPEAKER_03I don't know. Okay, that's fine. Alright, Eli, what about you? What what do you think about the World Cup?
SPEAKER_02I think it's gonna be cool because like a bunch of countries are coming to play in America.
SPEAKER_03Mm-hmm. Very cool. And Mexico and Canada, so it's a combined effort.
SPEAKER_02Uh I'm really excited, especially because I'm gonna be watching it with my dad. No, so you guys are a really big soccer freak.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that's exciting. Do you guys think it's gonna be is it kind of make you feel kind of proud that it's in your country in some ways? Yeah. You know, little countrymen kind of stuff. All right, right on. All right, the last question. Are you ready? Yeah. Okay. This next question that we have is about our city of Fort Wayne. Okay. All right, Fort Wayne was rated one of the best places to live in 2026. If you, why do you think Fort Wayne is rated so high for places to live? We'll start with you, Elliot. Why do you what what why do you do you love Fort Wayne?
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_03Why?
SPEAKER_02Because I live in it.
SPEAKER_03But what is something about our city that you really love?
SPEAKER_02Uh, the flag.
SPEAKER_03You're just saying that because it's behind you.
SPEAKER_02No, who?
SPEAKER_03Flag is cool. Do you guys know the history of the flag?
SPEAKER_02Oh no.
SPEAKER_03So the um that's that's called a Florida Lee. That's our French heritage, and then the lion, that's the English heritage, and then the Native American is the Native American heritage. And look, there's three lines, right?
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Three rivers.
SPEAKER_02Oh.
SPEAKER_03And then the forts I'll go to.
SPEAKER_02I never knew that.
SPEAKER_03Now you do? All right.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I knew about the farm that's every day.
SPEAKER_03What?
SPEAKER_02You learn something new every day. Yeah, sure.
SPEAKER_03You should learn something new every day. For and we're we'll we'll say thank we'll say you're welcome, quality listeners, um, for learning that. All right. So, Diego, what do you love about Fort Wayne?
SPEAKER_02Um I like the hot because it's sometimes I like the snow, like here.
SPEAKER_03You like the weather. That's where you get all the weather.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I love the weather.
SPEAKER_03I like it. I like it. Eli, what about you?
SPEAKER_02Hmm. I like the oceans and the water.
SPEAKER_03Where did you go to an ocean at Fort Wayne?
SPEAKER_02Like, um That's okay. We're like in the middle of nowhere. I like the beaches. What is I give it like the United States would probably be one, but do you like how about this?
SPEAKER_03Do you like our school that's in Fort Wayne? Yes. Okay. You can tell these are first-time potters, everyone. We do apologize, but that's okay. All right. Give us one piece of news story you've been researching or something you wish wanna share that you've researched that you think is really interesting. We'll start with you, Eli. You have anything? You don't have anything to say, nothing and stay quality.
SPEAKER_02Nothing.
SPEAKER_03Say stay quality.
SPEAKER_02Stay quality.
SPEAKER_03All right, Elliot, you got a hot take or anything you want to say?
SPEAKER_02Like in this class?
SPEAKER_03No, just like in the our journalism studies. Have you researched anything that you thought was really interesting?
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_03Okay, we'll tell them to stay quality.
SPEAKER_02Stay quality.
SPEAKER_03Diego.
SPEAKER_02Um, no, stay quality.
SPEAKER_03Awesome.
SPEAKER_02My mic off.
SPEAKER_03Well, you're already talking while it's recording, so it's a little late for that. Did you hit the chime sound? Oh, beautiful. All right. We've got Nolan and Caden here for our outro. What a great episode, boys. Agreed. Agreed. Nolan, you probably have no idea what was in this episode because you were gone when we were filming it.
SPEAKER_02Awesome.
SPEAKER_03Powerful stuff. Um, so uh we did do uh some new segments. Okay. We did a fifth grade complaints. We also had second graders weirdly uh involved in this episode quite a lot. I'm not really sure why.
SPEAKER_02Wait, so you're stealing our job?
SPEAKER_03I'm not stealing your job. I'm just more uh I'm giving other kids opportunities to do something. That makes it sound awful. All right, so here's a question for you, Zippies. Um so what are we working on? What what do you think we should drop next week? Do we want to do the uh do we want to bring back Hot Sea Cool Throne or do we want to do the blind rankings challenge?
SPEAKER_02Hot Seat Cool Blind Ranking.
SPEAKER_03We should do both.
SPEAKER_02Hot Sea Cool Throne.
SPEAKER_03We should we should do both. We should also do Who's Back of the Week.
SPEAKER_02What?
SPEAKER_03So Who's Back of the Week is like something that's back? You want to do it right now?
SPEAKER_02Like Spencels is back?
SPEAKER_03Oh you just said it. So you say my Who's Back is Spencels? Okay? Go ahead and say it. My Who's Back is Spencels.
SPEAKER_02Mine Who's back is Spencels? Why's back? Because like they haven't been uh uh around since like the second or first grade.
SPEAKER_03Spencels are back. Nolan, who's back?
SPEAKER_02I don't know. All right, my the the the the pirates. They're they're good again, finally.
SPEAKER_03The Pittsburgh Pirates?
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_03Okay. My Who's Back of the Week? Okay, ready? For this one, you guys are gonna like this. My hoose back of the week is screaming in the lunchroom.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah. Because that is true though.
SPEAKER_03Because children are literally just screaming for fun. For fun. So there was this girl who was here a year ago, and she my first day at Wiser Park. I'm not even kidding you. My first day at Wiser Park, she goes out to recess and she comes up to me and she goes, Mr. Martone, I'm gonna go to the you guys know where like the baseball field is? Yeah. She looks at me and she goes, I'm gonna go to the baseball field and I'm gonna scream as loud as I can. And I was like, I said, why? And she goes, just watch me. So she went to the baseball field and she screamed as loud as she could. Now, I say this story to tell you some of the screams in the lunchroom the last week are louder than that. That lunchroom is not meant for screaming. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_02And it's so compact with all the tables and everybody. No, wait, that's why that's why we should eat lunch outside. No, no, I'm pretty sure the mayor was here and they brought in the cyber trucks, and everybody was screaming their heads off. So there's all got punished in Australia. Not just me. In Australia. Um they like because it's always warm there, I'm not sure if we can do it here because it's freezing most of the year. Um I would say most of the year, but well, yeah. Um, but since it's warm most of the year in Australia, they eat lunch outside. They eat lunch outside now. They combine it with recess, basically. So the more time you spend doing lunch, the less time you have recess. Yeah, but you probably have to. Why you always cup the mic? Remember? Stop collapse last year when we had a pick picnic outside. We'll do that. They get Yeah, we haven't had one this this year. Yeah, we do that at the end of the year.
SPEAKER_03We do it at the end of the year, not field day. No, we did it. We did it also like I think we did it twice last year, didn't we?
SPEAKER_02And then they throw trash bags off the roof.
SPEAKER_03That was that was the egg drop.
SPEAKER_02Oh.
SPEAKER_03That was a different that was for si that was for the steam thing.
SPEAKER_02I hope we do that. Throw trash bags. I mean, obviously.
SPEAKER_03It wasn't trash bags, Caden. It was like actually Parachutes. Yeah, it was parachutes.
SPEAKER_02Oh you know it takes like over a thousand feet for a parachute to work.
SPEAKER_03Do you know that 87% of statistics are made up?
SPEAKER_02Did you know that I didn't ask?
SPEAKER_03Whoa. Whoa. Alright, what else? Anything else to for the quality listeners that are gonna stay quality?
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_02Comment down below. Whether you're gonna be able to do that.
SPEAKER_03Comment down below what comments comment what you want to hear uh us talk about next week. We'll check the comments.
SPEAKER_02And comment down below. Mr. Martoni is crazy.
SPEAKER_03Alright, cue the music there for me, better.
SPEAKER_02Say quality.
SPEAKER_03Alright. We don't don't turn it off. You're gonna do my thing. The Koality Podcast is recorded, edited, and made at Wiser Park Elementary School in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
